Title analysis:
This is a task driven material essay topic.
The material focuses on the "craftsman spirit" and is rooted in the advocacy context of striving for excellence and quality in the new era. With the rapid development of today's society, some people have a mentality of "impetuous utilitarianism" and "perfunctory work". The "craftsman spirit" is no longer limited to the fine craftsmanship of traditional artisans, but is endowed with a broader connotation of the times - it is the attitude of ordinary people pursuing excellence and self transcendence in learning, work, and life. The material emphasizes that 'it is not necessary for everyone to become a craftsman, but everyone should have the spirit of craftsmanship', weakens professional limitations, highlights the universality of the spiritual level, and echoes the growth requirements of education for young people's' self-improvement 'and' pursuit of excellence '. The essence of the craftsmanship spirit is not the ultimate professional skills, but the pursuit of excellence in attitude, self transcendence in action, and self-improvement in pursuit. It covers many ordinary scenarios such as learning, life, and work, emphasizing that everyone can have it. Therefore, young people should start from setting higher requirements for themselves, and through continuous polishing and repeated correction, achieve a leap from qualified to excellent, from ordinary to better.
The writing prompt requires writing a "narrative article", so it is necessary to use "personal experiences" as a carrier, starting from specific scenarios such as learning, life, interests, etc., focusing on "perseverance and transcendence in the ordinary", focusing on detailed description and narration, reflecting the self demand and self transcendence in the spirit of craftsmanship, and realizing the process of self growth.
When writing, first set up suspenseful scenarios, such as facing an unsatisfactory work or a failed attempt, which leads to the original intention of wanting to become better and lays the foundation for the spirit of craftsmanship. Middle level description of the process of pursuing better: encountering difficulties for the first time (such as skill bottlenecks and restless mentality); Moved by (such as examples from others, self reflection); Repeated polishing (detailing the process of effort and highlighting the pursuit of excellence); Achieving breakthroughs (demonstrating ultimate progress and growth). The ending sublimates the theme, highlighting the significance of the craftsmanship spirit for personal growth, echoing the core viewpoint of "everyone should have the craftsmanship spirit" in the material. In the writing process, attention should be paid to describing actions, psychology, and environment, such as describing hand movements during the polishing process, psychological changes after repeated attempts, and encouragement or influence from people around, so that the spirit of craftsmanship can be implemented through specific scenes and avoid empty emotions.

【 Appreciation of Masterpieces 】: Polishing the Ordinary, Achieving Better Results
In the quiet corner of the calligraphy classroom, the faint buzzing of the fluorescent lamp, like the whispers of the night, spreads a soft halo over the rice paper on the table. The trembling pen tip clumsily wandered on the rice paper, leaving twisted and powerless ink marks, forming a sharp contrast with the dignified and powerful "forever" character on the template. My third attempt at copying ended in failure, and I angrily threw my pen, ink spreading on the rice paper, leaving a trace of disharmony.
Impatience and restlessness make it difficult to achieve great success, "Teacher Li's words were like a spring breeze brushing against her face, carrying tolerance and gentleness. Turning around and looking around, the elderly Teacher Li had a calm face, holding a pencil and slowly spreading it on the rice paper. His wrist is steady and relaxed, with every stroke showing an orderly and powerful rhythm, revealing focus and confidence. When I was learning calligraphy, I was even clumsier than you, "Teacher Li put down his pen and pointed to the rubbings of" Preface to Lanting Collection "on the wall
In confusion, I picked up a brush and Teacher Li walked up to me, gently holding my wrist: "To write the word 'forever', you first need to be calm and composed. Horizontal painting is like a thousand mile formation of clouds, vertical painting is like a withered vine." His palm conveyed warmth, guiding my arm to move slowly. The pen tip lightly touches the rice paper, first pausing and then lifting, and a straight horizontal line gradually appears. At that moment, I seemed to have forgotten my previous restlessness, with only the harmonious blending of the pen tip and rice paper in my eyes, and a faint ink fragrance lingering around my nose.
Since then, the calligraphy classroom has become a peaceful haven that I must visit after class. Every day after school, I spread out rice paper and copy it over and over again. At first, I repeatedly failed at the turning points of my strokes, either by exerting too much force or by being too gentle. I placed Teacher Li's calligraphy in front of me, carefully observed the trend of each stroke, and corrected the posture of my wrist in front of the mirror. Sometimes, a simple stroke requires repeated practice dozens of times until the arm feels sore and the fingertips become numb. Faced with rice paper filled with errors, I have wanted to give up many times, but Teacher Li's teachings on the "craftsman spirit" always inspire me to clench my brush again.
I remember the calligraphy competition held by the school, and I decided to challenge myself. In order to create a satisfactory work, I chose Wang Xizhi's "Huangting Jing" as the competition content. During that time, I practiced diligently in the calligraphy classroom every day until nightfall. Among them, the character "qing" has always been improper, and the "water" part on the left appears stiff. After seeing this, Teacher Li patiently guided me: "The three points of water should be like light clouds covering the moon, one light and one heavy, flowing smoothly like flowing water." Following the teacher's guidance, I practiced repeatedly, and the three points of water in my pen gradually became lively.
I didn't deliberately pursue rankings, I just calmly spread the paper, dipped in ink, and integrated daily practice into my pen. In the end, although I did not win the first prize, I earned the praise of my teacher: "There is a down-to-earth effort hidden in my words, as well as a sincere willingness to constantly strive for progress
Nowadays, calligraphy has become a part of my life. Whenever I feel restless, I spread out rice paper and search for peace in the ink fragrance. I gradually realized that the spirit of craftsmanship is not an unattainable dream, it is in our ordinary lives - it is the in-depth study when solving a difficult problem, the pursuit of excellence when memorizing a text, and the attitude of striving for perfection in everything we do. This pursuit of self-improvement, polishing the ordinary self, and achieving a more outstanding self.
Appreciation of Masterpieces: That ruler, measuring the path of growth
In the drawer of the desk, the plastic ruler with rounded edges and peeling paint scales is a witness to my confrontation with the "similar" thinking, and also a symbol of my realization that the spirit of craftsmanship is not limited to the tools in the hands of craftsmen, but a symbol of everyone's unremitting pursuit of "better".
That was in the art class of sophomore year, where the teacher assigned a campus landscape sketch assignment. I sketched out the outline of the teaching building, the playground runway and the wutong tree beside the road, thinking it was enough. I was secretly delighted in my heart and said, "That's enough. If I could pass on my homework, it would be enough." However, passing by my desk mate Lin Xiao's seat, I was attracted by her delicate and smooth paintings. The lines are precise, the windows are arranged neatly, and the veins of wutong leaves are clearly visible. How long have you been drawing? "I asked curiously. Lin Xiao looked up with pencil ash on her fingertips and said, "I've made three changes. The first one had the wrong proportions, the second one had rough lines, and I'm still adjusting the density of the leaves." She picked up a ruler and carefully compared the perspective relationships in the picture, "I always feel like there's something better
Looking at her serious and focused expression, I felt ashamed of my hasty "almost" approach. After school, I reexamined my paintings: the eaves were tilted, the track lines were distorted, and even the scale of the ruler was blurred. Can I always be satisfied with just 'about'? "Lin Xiao's" could be better "echoed in my ears, and I inexplicably picked up the ruler.
Re outline the outline, carefully compare the proportions with a ruler, and revise the lines stroke by stroke. The perspective relationship is incorrect, so we have to erase and redraw it. My fingers were sore from grinding, and the paper was wrinkled. At one point, I wanted to give up: "I'm not a professional in art anyway." At this moment, my father's words echoed in my ear: "You have to live up to your skills when working." I remember when he was making a desk, he spent the whole afternoon polishing it in order to make the tabletop flat, not letting go of even the smallest burrs.
I took a deep breath and calmed down again. Calculate the proportion on the draft paper and mark the key points with a ruler; When drawing lines, keep your wrist close to the table and move slowly to ensure that each stroke is straight and accurate; If you are not satisfied, even if it is just a small pattern, do not hesitate to erase and redraw it. Under the desk lamp, the ruler shuttled back and forth on the drawing paper, pencil shavings piled up like mountains, and fine beads of sweat oozed from my forehead, but I became more and more immersed as I drew.
The morning light shone through the window onto the paper, and I finally completed the editing. In the picture, the campus scenery with harmonious proportion and smooth lines, the shadow of wutong tree is clear, and the sense of achievement arises spontaneously.
Now, that ruler still accompanies me. When organizing notes, strive for neat handwriting, pay attention to rigorous steps when solving math problems, and repeatedly polish words and sentences when writing. Every attempt to be precise stems from the experience of sketching. We don't have to be skilled craftsmen, but we can all have the spirit of craftsmanship - it is hidden in our ordinary daily self demands, and in each polishing, it helps us meet a better version of ourselves.
Appreciation of Masterpieces: Practice in Ink Fragrance
The wooden windows of the calligraphy classroom are always open, and the autumn breeze carries the fragrance of osmanthus, interweaving with the ink fragrance in the inkstone, brewing the unique tranquility of dusk. However, the hand holding the pen trembled slightly. The four characters "peaceful and far-reaching" on the rice paper were stiff horizontally and skewed vertically, making even the most basic strokes awkward and clueless.
Are you going to participate in the calligraphy exhibition of the campus cultural festival? Your level, go ahead and embarrass yourself. "The words of the desk mate were like sharp needles, and their cheeks were flushed. I know it myself, but I followed the crowd and enrolled in a calligraphy class. I practiced perfunctorily, flipping through only a few pages of calligraphy, and never really wanted to write well. However, the teacher's teachings were still in our ears that day: "We don't all need to become calligraphers, but everyone should possess the spirit of craftsmanship, even if it's just writing one word well, we should pursue the ultimate
Gritting my teeth, I crumpled up the failed work and spread out the rice paper again. The teacher once said that writing regular script requires "horizontal and vertical alignment, with gentle strokes and stretching", but this is by no means easy. Gazing at the "Ning" character on the calligraphy post, the head of the treasure canopy stretches out like a roof, and the bottom of the heart character is as stable as a rock. The pen tip dipped in ink, holding my breath, but halfway through, my wrist trembled and the horizontal drawing turned into a slope.
Repeatedly picking up and putting down the pen, the rice paper is filled with traces of failure. Ink splattered on the sleeves, leaving mottled marks; My wrist is sore and my fingertips have red marks from the pen handle. The osmanthus flowers outside the window fall and bloom again, and the afterglow of the setting sun stretches on the classroom floor. I have wanted to give up many times, but the neat handwriting on the calligraphy and the teacher's words - 'The spirit of craftsmanship is not something that can be achieved in a day, it needs to be polished day after day' - have made me persevere.
I started to change my approach, no longer blindly pursuing speed, but carefully studying every word. Arrive at the classroom half an hour early in the morning and practice starting and finishing strokes under the morning light; After finishing my homework at night, I sat at my desk and gestured with my fingers on the structure of the words on the table. When faced with difficulties, I consulted my teacher, who always patiently held my hand and guided me to feel the turning and lifting of the pen. You see, when writing, you need to start with a heavy stroke and then a light stroke, like a willow leaf brushing the wind; when writing, you need to start with a light stroke and then a heavy stroke, like a startled swan falling feathers. "The teacher's voice was gentle, and the pen tip traced across the rice paper, leaving smooth lines.
Day after day, the words in my pen gradually improved. The horizontal painting is smooth and stretching, while the vertical painting is upright and powerful. The four characters "peaceful and far-reaching" finally have some calligraphy style. That day, I practiced in the calligraphy classroom until dusk. The wind blew from outside the window, stirring the rice paper and filling the air with the fragrance of ink. I picked up my pen and wrote down the four words' craftsman spirit ', and as the tip of my pen wandered, I felt a sense of calmness.
On the day of the campus cultural festival calligraphy exhibition, my works were prominently displayed in the exhibition hall. Although I didn't win the first prize, seeing my handwriting blooming under the light filled my heart with achievement. My desk mate walked up and said, "I didn't expect you to write so well. It's really impressive. After three days of separation, I'll look at you with new eyes." I smiled, thinking of those days when I honed my time in the fragrance of ink.
Originally, the spirit of craftsmanship is not limited to craftsmen alone. It exists in our ordinary lives, in the persistence and effort we put in to do something well. Just like how I practice calligraphy, I don't have to become a calligrapher, but through daily polishing, I surpass myself and transform into a better version.
When leaving the exhibition hall, the sun set and the afterglow covered the ground like broken gold. I tightly grip the brush in my hand, the ink still lingering around my fingers. I understand that this practice of ink fragrance not only taught me how to write well, but also taught me how to approach every journey of the future with a rigorous and persistent attitude.
